Overview

Welcome to the official Missoula Montana Airport (MSO) Master Plan project website. MSO is updating its Airport Master Plan, which will study the needs to meet projected aeronautical/non-aeronautical demand for the next 20 years and recommend a plan that ensures the airport will continue to serve as an economic catalyst for the region. Since the completion of the last Airport Master Plan in 2008, there have been several changes affecting our region, city and the airport. This Master Plan update will build upon our prior Master Plan effort to provide a recommended plan that will guide the airport and ensure MSO's success as the preferred gateway to Western Montana and the world. Your participation in this important planning effort is critical!

The master plan process is a collaborative effort involving the Missoula County Airport Authority staff, Missoula County, City of Missoula, Federal Aviation Administration, airport users and community at large. This planning effort is necessary to ensure that the Airport has a solid plan to grow to meet the vision and needs of the entire region.

This website has been prepared as just one element of an extensive community outreach program so that airport users and the public can find useful information and have a forum to submit comments or suggestions regarding the future of MSO. The links below will give you access to draft chapters, airport layout plans, project schedule, and important news and meeting dates.
