Flymissoula.com Tower Cam Update
August 28, 2007 - Missoula International Airport. The Flymissoula.com Tower Cam was installed during the summer of 2006. Since then, thousands of people from all over the world have logged on to see what's happening at MSO. From Missoula to Big Spring, Texas, and even as far overseas as Vaxjo, Sweden, the Tower Cam has become an overnight sensation.
We invite you to take a moment to learn more about the cam and enjoy a few images we've taken in the last year.
 GIVING YOU THE BEST VIEWS OF MSO
The Flymissoula.com Tower Cam is
located on the Missoula Air Traffic Control
Tower eight stories above the main air
carrier ramp. From this vantage point, you
will always have the same view as our
air traffic controllers.
 FULL PAN, TILT, and ZOOM CAPABILITY
The AXIS 213 Camera features a powerful
26x optical zoom, auto focus lens and an
IR mode for nighttime conditions.The 213
delivers superior quality Motion JPEG and
MPEG-4* video streams simultaneously,
and features 7 pre-set positions at MSO.
 THE TOWER CAM SPOTS A WILDFIRE
On August 14, 2007, the Blackcat Fire
roared to life northwest of Missoula. The
fire is responsible for the loss of several
structures, however no homes were lost.
It is believed the 11,000 acre fire was
the result of a lightning strike.

aircraft and general aviation trainers, you
can pretty much see anything here at
Missoula International Airport.
 THE CAMERA IS FUN AT NIGHT TOO
Those air traffic controllers have a great
view. The Tower Cam lets you see some
spectacular views every night. Watch a
typical Missoula sunset, or check out the
thousands of runway and taxiway lights
that keep MSO operating at night.
 THE WEBCAMS BUSIEST DAY?
What was the Tower Cam's busiest day?
On October 4, 2006, hundreds of people
tuned in to watch as the Rolling Stones
arrived at the airport prior to their sold out
performance before 24,000 screaming
fans at Washington-Grizzly Stadium.
