2016 Passenger totals reflect an 8.6% increase over 2015 traffic.

Passenger numbers set an all-time record at the Missoula International Airport (MSO) for the third year in a row. In calendar year 2016, MSO handled 758,331 passengers, an increase of 59,850 or 8.6% over 2015. In the last 20 years, MSO has experienced a 98% increase in passenger traffic (from 383,160 in 1996, to the above reported 2016 total of 758,331).
“The continued growth of passengers into and out of the Missoula International Airport is a reflection of the positive economic health and growth of tourism in the Greater Missoula area,” said Cris Jensen, Airport Director. “It has also brought us to the realization that we need to update our terminal facility to better service our passengers. To that end we have begun the design of a new passenger terminal that will satisfy the needs of the flying public well into the future.”
Currently five airlines, Alaska, Allegiant, Delta, Frontier and United have operations at Missoula International Airport. Nonstop flights are offered to twelve destinations: Atlanta*, Chicago*, Denver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Oakland*, Phoenix-Mesa, Portland, Salt Lake City, San Francisco*, Seattle.
