Real ID Compliance

We get a lot of questions these days about Real ID Compliance.  Here is what we know.

If Montana does not receive another extension, starting January 22, 2019, travelers with a Montana driver license or identification card must have an alternative form of acceptable identification for domestic air travel to board their flight.

Starting October 1, 2020, every air traveler will need a REAL ID compliant license, or another acceptable form of identification, for domestic air travel.

Terminal Project Update

By 2021, the Missoula International Airport will be drastically larger and improved.

Plans for a new terminal have been in the works for several years to accommodate rapidly increasing passenger numbers, and we are embarking on an ambitious project that could cost as much as $110 million.

The funding will not come from taxpayers, but rather from the Federal Aviation Administration, airport user fees and other sources.

Here is an article from the Missoula Current.
